A world with more life

Grass gathers in small, uneven colonies around the roads and groves. Fire, frost and thorns give each spell a character of its own. And across the bestiary, committed attacks leave you an opening to move out of danger and strike back.

The grass pair shows the same clearing, camera and lighting, with the earlier ground recreated for the comparison. These are still images; they show a moment in the world, not how a complete spell or attack unfolds.

A fuller meadow, with room to move

Short tufts gather into irregular patches, with different heights and open ground between them. The growth follows the landscape while paths, shores and the space around resources stay clear.

Still comparison
The earlier clearing has mostly open green ground between a diagonal path, pale rocks and woodland trees.
Before
The same clearing has clusters of short, many-leaved grass, with the diagonal path and rock outlines still visible.
After

A closer look

Magic and danger, up close

The adventurer surrounded by pale violet rings and glowing diamond-shaped shards above the ground.
Game still

Dust Nova: a circle of wonder

Fine violet rings and floating shards give Dust Nova an arcane shape. This close view holds one moment of the spell around the adventurer.

Golden rings and bright radial sparks surround the adventurer in a held moment of Thunderclap.

Thunderclap: a burst of gold

Stacked golden rings and short, bright sparks give Thunderclap a different silhouette. Both spell views use the same close framing so their shapes are easy to compare.

The Mossback Keeper faces the adventurer inside a broad pale circle marking its coming Root Crown attack.
Game still

Mossback Keeper: watch the circle

A broad circle marks the Keeper’s Root Crown attack before it lands. This moment catches the warning, with the adventurer still inside it.

Cinders, crystals, thorns and sparks

Ember Bolt trails cinders, Frost Lance leaves cold filaments, and Chain Spark makes jagged connections. Briar Snare raises thorns; Dust Nova opens violet rings and floating shards. Dust Step folds into a portal, Thunderclap sends out golden pressure rings, and Mend lifts a gentle spiral of green petals.

Read the next attack

Ten enemy kinds now have 21 moves between them, from quick thrusts to broad sweeps and committed charges. Once an attack is committed, its warning stays where it was aimed. Watch the marked area, move before the strike, and give a second cut the same respect as the first.

Make an opening

Step or dash out of a committed attack, then strike while the enemy recovers. Briar Snare can stop a charge and leave its attacker recovering. A missed swing still takes time to recover from, so a well-timed move can turn defence into your next attack.
